The SourcePackSM is a one-of-a-kind recycling kit designed for shipping uranium and/or thorium LIQUID chemical compounds that are DOT class 7 (only). Typical compounds include uranyl acetate and uranium/thorium oxide.

The kit is cost efficient and matches your schedule. No more waiting on a truck. It’s easy to use and comes with detailed instructions and DOT function specific training tailored for the shipment of this particular kit. The kit includes the outer fiber box, inner one gallon accumulation container, packaging instructions, DOT markings, DOT function specific training and acknowledgement, prepaid UPS ground shipping both ways and recycling of the compounds.
The SourcePackSM kit is designed to qualify as a DOT strong tight package for shipping as: UN2910 Radioactive materials – excepted package, limited quantity of material, 7.
The standard kit is priced based on label weight(s), or gross weight(s) if not in original container. Costs are $1,925/lb of labeled weight with a 1 pound minimum. Shipments in excess of 1 pound are billed pro rata.
PLEASE NOTE: An inventory and photographs of all containers must be sent for approval prior to shipping the return kit. Please fill out the inventory form required for the uranium/thorium compounds recycling program, which can be found here. Once your inventory is approved, we will contact you with a return material authorization (RMA) number authorizing your shipment to Curie. Your kit will ship typically within 24 hours via UPS Ground service. A Certificate of Transfer and Recycling will be provided after receipt and processing.
